When things finally began to sink in and before anyone had a clear understanding of what was going on beyond: 'this is intentional, but why?' I drew what I was feeling at the time, leaving characters out of it because it seemed cheap to do so.

As the days passed and we began discovering the 'whys' and assessing the damage, people began creeping back into their old lives. Like most others, I would imagine, I had many conversations with people about what it all meant and I found myself in a place of 'I'd like to see us all emerge from this stronger and wiser.' I knew that was a lot to hope for, but with the nation in shock it almost seemed possible.
So, then the superficial characters re-entered my comics and topics of the day were absolutely unavoidable.
This next one was based on conversations I'd had with among other people a fellow named Steve Oliff and I used his character Armature alongside my usual familiar greeny, though most people at the time probably just wondered why I'd drawn a yellow alien skeleton!
(And for the record, Vegas not being anywhere near New York, I did NOT go lend a hand with the clean up. It did feel a little cheap adding that, but darn it I just wanted to make my point.)
That is all I have to say on the matter. Everyone have a nice rest of your lives!:)

Animation...

Haven't tried this in a long time... maybe that's for a good reason!
Kinda makes me think of "Better Off Dead" or "One Crazy Summer."
